Five Maryland Cities Ranked Among Best Small Cities in America

WalletHub (a personal-finance website), recently ranked Frederick, Annapolis, Bethesda, Gaithersburg and Rockville among the top 10% of the Best Small Cities in the United States.

“No two small cities are made equal, though, so which ones outshine the rest? To find out, WalletHub compared more than 1,300 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 45 key indicators of livability. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita.”

Rockville (Top 2%) 98th percentile, total score of 68.19

Frederick (Top 4%) 96th percentile, total score of 66.74

Annapolis (Top 5%) 95th percentile

Bethesda (Top 7%) 93rd percentile

Gaithersburg (Top 8%) 92nd percentile
