The former Firestone’s Culinary Tavern space at 105 N. Market Street has a new chapter ahead. A liquor license application has been filed for a new restaurant called Fire & Oak. The commercial property listing for the space has also recently been removed.

Back in June 2024, we let you know that Firestone’s would be closing its doors for good later that month, after 26 years in business.

Now, some locals are speculating the new spot could be connected to Fire & Oak in Jersey City, New Jersey, which is known for its sit-down dining, private event space, and four-course American meals. While nothing has been confirmed and details remain limited, we’ll share updates as more information becomes available.
