According to a new study from WalletHub (a personal finance website known for its data-driven rankings and reports on everything from cost of living to credit cards) Maryland landed #34 out of all 50 states. The study evaluated 51 key factors across affordability, economy, education & health, quality of life, and safety.
Here’s how Maryland scored:
🏠 Affordability: 38th
💼 Economy: 37th
📚 Education & Health: 19th
🌆 Quality of Life: 31st
🛡️ Safety: 30th
While Maryland shines in access to top-notch schools and healthcare, high living costs and lower economic competitiveness pulled down its overall ranking.
At the very top, Massachusetts ranked #1, followed by Idaho in second, New Jersey third, Wisconsin fourth, Minnesota fifth, Florida sixth, New Hampshire seventh, Utah eighth, New York ninth, and Pennsylvania in tenth place.
What do you think, did Maryland get a fair ranking? 🤔
