This is the Renegade Rundown, where you can learn about everything the Renegade Monster Trucks.com event has to offer, during one of our action packed events! Each Event is packed with 1.5-2 hours of horsepower driven, family-fun & entertainment. The Renegade Monster Truck event is sure to leave you in awe as you watch these mechanical marvels compete for points and bragging rights! Each Renegade will complete a series of challenging and exciting competitions in a 12,000lb – 1,500hp blown-alcohol Renegade Monster Truck sitting on massive 66″ tall tires!

The Comedy Pigs:

Established in 1993, The Comedy Pigs are the region’s longest-running improv troupe, and they’re ready for another great season. Join them on the first Friday and Saturday of every month for hilarious shows filled with a series of fun short-form improv games. No two shows are ever the same, so be sure to join them each and every month!

Tour De Frederick is our annual charity bike ride, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County, and powered by the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek. Join our community of supporters and choose from four scenic routes and a finish line festival to remember.

Your participation helps to ensure that afterschool and summer programs remain accessible to the youth in Frederick County.

Artopia

Artopia is our newest event, designed to put our creative community in the spotlight! Join us in Downtown Frederick on Saturday, June 7, for a day full of local art.

There will be impressive chalk art and live plein air painting by Frederick-based artists all over town – check back for a map closer to the date.

Hang around until the evening, and you’ll experience our first-ever live art competitions at 6pm and 7:30pm. The artists will find out the theme when the audience does, create for about an hour, and you will decide who gets bragging rights for the next year!

If you’re interested in participating as an artist in any of these activities, see the signups below – all ages and abilities welcome!

We hope to see you around town for Artopia, but don’t forget, Downtown Frederick is home to over 15 galleries and studio spaces that are always filled with local art.

Summer Concert Series


Enjoy free, high-quality musical entertainment on Sunday nights in June, July, and August at the Baker Park Band Shell.

From tribute artists and oldies to Afrofunk and bluegrass, Celebrate Frederick’s Summer Concert Series showcases professional musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds. Previous artists have included jazz legend Charlie Byrd, Spyro Gyro’s Scott Ambush and Julio Fernandez, country chart-climber Cleve Francis, Bluegrass favorite Railroad Earth, L.A.-based Latin group Incendio, bluesman Tom Principato, and many more.

All concerts are free to the public. In lieu of admission, the Summer Concert Series Committee invites attendees to bring a canned food item to donate to the Frederick Food Bank. All donations can be brought to the Drees Homes Information Booth.

Rain Policy: Concert cancellations are announced on the specific concert event page on http://www.celebratefrederick.com and will be posted on Celebrate Frederick’s Facebook Page and Instagram. Every effort is made to post cancellation notices by 5:00 PM on the day of the concert.

Mount Olivet Cemetery History & Mystery Tour 


Discover Frederick’s Past as we Navigate through the Labyrinth of Graves, Crypts and Monuments of Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery. One of Maryland’s Largest and most Beautiful Cemeteries. Final Resting Place of Francis Scott Key, Author of our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner; Maryland’s first Governor, Thomas Johnson and Civil War Heroine, Barbara Fritchie.

Tour also includes Intriguing Facts about the Cemetery’s Origin, Tombstone Design, Grave Robbing, Mass Graves, plus stops at other Distinctive Burial Plots, including Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Civil War. Tour concludes with a visit to the Key Memorial Chapel. Reservations Required.
