Frederick Airport Summer Fun Days (Kickoff Event)


Come out and join the Frederick Airport and Kotei Kids Shaved Ice as we say goodbye to the school year and welcome in summer at the Airport. This kick off event will have a number of fun activities throughout the day including: face painting, hula hooping, and bubbles! We also plan to have local groups present to talk about how kids can get connected with aviation.

The event will be held in the main airport parking area (Parking lot for the Airways Inn Cafe).

Frederick Flying Cows vs. Capital Seahawks

The Frederick Flying Cows is a professional basketball team competing in the Eastern Conference of the TBL (The Basketball League), a professional basketball league which consists of 50 teams across the United States and Canada. The team is dedicated to providing fun, affordable entertainment for Frederick citizens, and beyond!

Theme: Defend the Barn

It’s the last game of the regular season on May 23rd, and the stakes couldn’t be higher! Don’t miss your chance to see us Defend the Barn against the Capital Seahawks. Come cheer on our cows as they give it their all to secure one last 2025 home win!

Mount Olivet Cemetery History & Mystery Tour

Discover Frederick’s Past as we Navigate through the Labyrinth of Graves, Crypts and Monuments of Historic Mount Olivet Cemetery. One of Maryland’s Largest and most Beautiful Cemeteries. Final Resting Place of Francis Scott Key, Author of our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner; Maryland’s first Governor, Thomas Johnson and Civil War Heroine, Barbara Fritchie.

Tour also includes Intriguing Facts about the Cemetery’s Origin, Tombstone Design, Grave Robbing, Mass Graves, plus stops at other Distinctive Burial Plots, including Revolutionary War, War of 1812 and Civil War. Tour concludes with a visit to the Key Memorial Chapel. Reservations Required.
