Coming soon signage for ‘Vesuvius, Italian & Wine Bar’ is now visible at the former Manina location in Urbana (3290 Bennett Creek Ave Unit A), which closed just over two years ago. Manina described itself as “an American wood-fired pizzeria with house-cured meats, seasonal plates, and creative cocktails — local and organic all the way,” according to its website.

While an official opening date for Vesuvius has not been announced, sources indicate that work is underway and the restaurant could open as early as this year. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.
