Since November 2023, we reported that Frederick’s Planning Commission voted to approve a master plan for the Brickworks development. The plan includes up to 1,260 homes and 130,000 square feet of retail space on the site of the former Frederick Brickworks manufacturing facility, located along South and East Street.

We’ve recently learned that Whole Foods is likely to anchor the new Brickworks development. An online real estate brochure for the Lake Linganore Town Center by H&R Retail revealed that a lease has been signed by the supermarket chain at the upcoming site. While the project is still pending final site plan approvals, we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
