While shopping, you can enjoy decorated sail boats on the creek.

Kris Kringle Procession:
Join us for the Annual Kris Kringle Procession sponsored by Wawa and presented in partnership with Key 103 through the streets of Downtown Frederick! The event begins at the corner of South Carroll and East Patrick streets and ends in Baker Park.
The procession mirrors the small town charm that makes Frederick so special during the holidays. Local children dressed as reindeer, snowflakes, angels, elves, and gifts will accompany costumed characters, some modern, some traditional, through Frederick’s downtown streets.
Follow the procession to the Baker Park Band Shell for a closing ceremony full of holiday cheer including carols, lighting of the City Christmas Tree and, special messages from much-loved characters including the Snow Queen and Kris Kringle himself!

A Christmas Carol at The Weinberg Center:

Join Maryland Ensemble Theatre for a heartwarming and magical journey as they bring Charles Dickens’ timeless classic to life on stage. Experience the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, an elderly miser who is visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. In the process, Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man.

Museums By Candlelight:
Celebrate Frederick County history and heritage during the annual Museums by Candlelight program on Saturday, December 14th.
Once a year, Frederick County’s numerous historic sites and museums provide visitors with a living reminder of this area’s remarkable past. During Museums by Candlelight, special programming and hands-on fun will delight visitors of all ages, and special children’s activities are featured at most locations.

Bike Doctor Frederick Holiday Lights Ride:
Join Bike Doctor Frederick on Saturday, December 14th at 6:00 PM at the Baker Park Bandshell for a fiercely festive ride around Downtown Frederick.
Enjoy the decorated homes and show off your own ornamented whip. Riders are encouraged to festoon their bike with lights, but the truly creative will go far beyond that. For the creatively dedicated among us, there will be a contest for Best Dressed Bicycle – complete with prizes!
So that our holiday cheer benefits those who need it most, all riders are asked to donate a gift card (CVS, Walgreens, Target, Walmart) which will be used by the Heartly House to help victims of domestic abuse to have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday. Gift cards to other local businesses are welcome, but Heartly House has identified these as having the greatest potential impact for those they serve. There will be a collection set-up at Bike Doctor and at the bandshell to collect these gift cards prior to the ride.
Our ride will be approximately 4 miles around Baker Park in Downtown Frederick at a very casual pace (~6 mph) and is suitable for riders of all ages. Helmets are required as is a minimum of a rear blinky light. The updated route will be posted prior to the ride.
Following the ride, participants who are in the spirit will have the option to ride or drive over to a local brewery for an after-party (location TBA). Beer and food will be available for purchase.
