After nearly 50 years of serving the Frederick community, La Paz Mexican Restaurant announced today that it will be closing its doors next month.
•
“Since April 4, 1978, La Paz has been a staple in Downtown Frederick. We’ve been a part of celebrations and gatherings of all kinds, and so many of you have become family,” the restaurant shared on social media.
•
“We’ve served the Frederick community well over a million margaritas, and have had over one thousand employees throughout the years. We are so thankful and proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of your lives for so long,” the post continued.
•
“We can now share that we have an official signed contract for the sale of 51 South Market Street, the home of La Paz for 18 of our 46 years, and the place where La Paz will serve its final margarita. Our final day in business will be Sunday, December 8.”

A new restaurant concept is slated to open in the location in 2025. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
