Its time for Dragon Distillery’s Halloween Bash! Get ready for a spooktacular night of fun and frights at the Frederick Fairgrounds in Building 12.

Join us on Sat Oct 19 2024 at 7:00 for a hauntingly good time. Dress your best and enjoy a night of music from DJ Spyder, dancing, and of course, delicious drinks from Dragon Distillery, including a special cocktail for the night, made with a brand new release, that will be making it’s debut at the event.

Hungry? We’ll have some of the best food trucks around to keep you fed and happy!

Add some adventure to your Halloween with Trek or Treat! It’s trick or treat, but in the TREES!!!
Climb, swing, and ZIP your way through our decorated trails while collecting goodies along the way. The park will be decorated and each landing zone with have special decorations provided by our community partners!!! Wear your best costumes for a chance to WIN prizes! From burglaries and brawls to bootlegging and bedaubing (vandalism), Frederick’s history is full of all things macabre. Join us as we dive into the sordid tales of our city’s past on this special tour just in time for spooky season!

*This tour discusses violence and crime and is recommended for visitors age 12+. We leave from 24 E Church St and end at S Market St and Carroll Creek Wy*

Join us for a festive Oktoberfest celebration at one of Frederick’s oldest and most historic buildings. Enjoy live German music, delicious food, and local beer on tap. Explore the grounds, watch historical demonstrations, and shop for unique handmade crafts.

Sky Stage Concert Series:

Enjoy a diverse lineup of live music under the stars at the open-air Sky Stage in historic downtown Frederick. Featuring original tunes from local and national artists, concerts take place on most Saturday evenings from May to October. Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park

Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park featuring City Carillonneur John Widmann playing the carillon of 49 bells from a mechanical keyboard with fists and feet. Bells range from 3,400 to 22 pounds of bronze and can be heard for blocks, but best in the park near the Gazebo. More info

Civil War Hospital Walking Tours:

Every Saturday and Sunday from April – September, walking tours of Frederick’s hospital sites will be available at 10:30 am on Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays.

With accounts taken from the diaries and letters of the surgeons, soldiers, and civilians who were there, this guided walking tour will explore the locations of the city’s Civil War hospitals in churches, schools, and public buildings. This program is an excellent way to take in downtown Frederick as many of those same buildings still make up the historic district today.
