A beloved local eatery is making a comeback— Ayse Meze Lounge closed its doors at 6 N East St (Downtown Frederick) in 2020 after seven years of business. It is set to reopen in Rockville under the name AYSE.
As confirmed by sister restaurant Isabella’s Taverna & Tapas Bar on social media, “Our beloved restaurant, Ayse, is making a comeback with a brand-new space in Rockville! After closing in 2020, we’re thrilled to bring back the flavors you love in a fresh new setting. Get ready to experience your favorite Mediterranean dishes once again. Stay tuned for more details on the grand opening—Ayse is back and better than ever!”
AYSE will soon be located at 700 King Farm Blvd and is currently awaiting a liquor license approval (per Montgomery County ABS), scheduled for Thursday, October 17th. The restaurant is owned by Nezih S. Pistar, who also owns Frederick’s Pistarro’s Italian restaurant and Isabella’s Taverna & Tapas Bar.
Ayse Meze Lounge was known for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine, inviting brick patio, and lively weekend music scene. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
