Fall Festival at Magnolia Meadow Farms:

Admission to our Fall Festival includes access to over 20 different activities including Maryland’s Largest Corn Maze, hayrides, jumping pillow, slides, mini ziplines, pedal karts, farm animal interactions, and more!

  • Kids 2 and under are FREE and do not require a ticket.

  • You may stay as long as you wish until we close for the day. Your wristband is valid for the whole day, and you may come in and out of the farm.

Autumn Excursion with Walkersville Southern Railroad:

All Aboard! Enjoy a ride through the woods, and then out into picturesque Maryland farm country past Barricks Farm, established in the early 1820’s. On a clear day you can view the Catoctin Mountains west of Frederick. Before returning to the Walkersville Station you will cross the beautiful Monocacy River on the recently reconstructed railroad bridge. The view is impressive and will be the highlight of your trip. The ride is leisurely, with speeds limited to ten miles per hour.

Coach passengers may choose to ride in our open-air flat car* (*not available in November) or remodeled passenger coaches. Parlor Car guests may choose to sit at a table or on one of our vintage couches aboard Southampton. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. We ask that you kindly only take up as many seats are you are ticketed for. Excursions are held rain or shine! Rides last 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Adults: $18.00; Seniors (55+): $17.00; Child (2-12): $16.00

Children under 2 free if riding on a lap – otherwise they must have a ticket.

Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park

Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park featuring City Carillonneur John Widmann playing the carillon of 49 bells from a mechanical keyboard with fists and feet. Bells range from 3,400 to 22 pounds of bronze and can be heard for blocks, but best in the park near the Gazebo. More info

Civil War Hospital Walking Tours:

Every Saturday and Sunday from April – September, walking tours of Frederick’s hospital sites will be available at 10:30 am on Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays.

With accounts taken from the diaries and letters of the surgeons, soldiers, and civilians who were there, this guided walking tour will explore the locations of the city’s Civil War hospitals in churches, schools, and public buildings. This program is an excellent way to take in downtown Frederick as many of those same buildings still make up the historic district today.

Summer Concert Series at Baker Park Bandshell:

Enjoy free, high-quality musical entertainment on Sunday nights in June, July, and August at the Baker Park Band Shell. 7PM-8:30PM (FREE EVENT)

From tribute artists and oldies to Afrofunk and bluegrass, Celebrate Frederick’s Summer Concert Series showcases professional musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds. Previous artists have included jazz legend Charlie Byrd, Spyro Gyro’s Scott Ambush and Julio Fernandez, country chart-climber Cleve Francis, Bluegrass favorite Railroad Earth, L.A.-based Latin group Incendio, bluesman Tom Principato, and many more.

All concerts are free to the public. In lieu of admission, the Summer Concert Series Committee invites attendees to bring a canned food item to donate to the Frederick Food Bank. All donations can be brought to the Drees Homes Information Booth.

Rain Policy: Concert cancellations are announced on the specific concert event page on http://www.celebratefrederick.com and will be posted on Celebrate Frederick’s Facebook Page and Instagram. Every effort is made to post cancellation notices by 5:00 PM on the day of the concert.
