In The Streets Festival at Downtown Frederick:
Frederick’s Annual In the Streets Festival will be held this Saturday, September 14 from 11AM-5PM in Downtown Frederick. An ‘Up The Creek’ After Party will be held from 5-9PM at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater (for those 21+, $5 cover)
“For over 30 years, In The Streets has been a proud Frederick tradition held along Market Street and Carroll Creek Linear Park.

The festival began in 1983 after major renovations closed Market Street for several months. When the dust settled Mayor Ron Young decided to hold a festival for the entire community to encourage reinvestment in downtown. The Festival was held in the street, so naming the event was simple. The first In The Streets festival boasted 10,000 in attendance. Today, In The Streets attracts crowds of over 75,000.

Meet Our Friendly Barnyard Animals: Get up close and personal with our friendly barnyard animals, including goats, sheep, cow, alpacas, pigs, donkey, pony, bunnies, peacocks, turkeys, ducks and chickens. Kids (and adults!) love the opportunity to feed and interact with our goats, creating cherished memories and learning about farm life along the way.
Summers Farm Fall Festival:
Summers Farm is proud to be a family owned and operated farm for four generations and help families create their own fall traditions. For over 28 years, Summers Farm has been the fall destination for families for fun for all ages! There is truly something for everyone, from the corn maze, pick your own pumpkins, slides, zip lines, jumping pillows, rugged farmer obstacle course, farm animals, apple blaster, and so much more! Be sure to take home some of our famous apple cider donuts or freshly made chocolate chip cookies!
Come visit Summers Farm for good ol’ fashioned family fun and delicious eats! Our campfire rentals are also great for groups, corporate events, birthday parties, family gatherings, team get togethers, and scouts. Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park
Weekly Carillon Recitals in Baker Park featuring City Carillonneur John Widmann playing the carillon of 49 bells from a mechanical keyboard with fists and feet. Bells range from 3,400 to 22 pounds of bronze and can be heard for blocks, but best in the park near the Gazebo. More info
Civil War Hospital Walking Tours:
Every Saturday and Sunday from April – September, walking tours of Frederick’s hospital sites will be available at 10:30 am on Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays.
With accounts taken from the diaries and letters of the surgeons, soldiers, and civilians who were there, this guided walking tour will explore the locations of the city’s Civil War hospitals in churches, schools, and public buildings. This program is an excellent way to take in downtown Frederick as many of those same buildings still make up the historic district today.

Summer Concert Series at Baker Park Bandshell:
Enjoy free, high-quality musical entertainment on Sunday nights in June, July, and August at the Baker Park Band Shell. 7PM-8:30PM (FREE EVENT)
From tribute artists and oldies to Afrofunk and bluegrass, Celebrate Frederick’s Summer Concert Series showcases professional musicians from a wide range of musical backgrounds. Previous artists have included jazz legend Charlie Byrd, Spyro Gyro’s Scott Ambush and Julio Fernandez, country chart-climber Cleve Francis, Bluegrass favorite Railroad Earth, L.A.-based Latin group Incendio, bluesman Tom Principato, and many more.
All concerts are free to the public. In lieu of admission, the Summer Concert Series Committee invites attendees to bring a canned food item to donate to the Frederick Food Bank. All donations can be brought to the Drees Homes Information Booth.
