🧑🎨 Art at Noon, The Delaplaine Arts Center— “Bruce I. Campbell joins us to discuss the importance of studying the old masters through copying their works. Mr. Campbell is a fine art painter and one of the longest continuous copyists at the National Gallery of Art, with more than two decades and over two dozen completed works, focusing primarily on the High Renaissance, the Baroque, and the Hudson River School. 🎷Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Ensemble— “TFrederick Community College (FCC) invites the public to enjoy the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra (SMJO) at their JBK Theater on Friday, February 9, at 7:30 pm.
The SMJO will present “The Legacy of Max Roach” as part of FCC’s Jazz Festival, part of the College’s Music Program. Members of the SMJO will work with FCC music students during the day and perform in the evening. This concert will also be presented again at the Smithsonian’s American History Museum on February 10.” more info here

🎹 Calvary’s Community Concert Series: Brian Ganz, Pianist— Brian Ganz, pianist, returns for another “All Chopin” concert as he continues his quest to perform every work of music by the great composer. This program, “Chopin the Virtuoso,” will feature all 12 Etudes from Op. 25, Scherzo No. 1, Nocturnes from Op. 37 and much more. A cornerstone of Calvary’s Community Concert Series, this concert is an interactive and highly energetic performance where Mr. Ganz brings Chopin’s music to life with emotional power and warmth.
