A Western Maryland resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning scratch-off at the High’s at 4301 Old National Pike in Middletown.
Here’s the story via Maryland Lottery:
“Since its debut in late December, the $20 $50,000 Cash scratch-off game has made a lot of people happy, especially the 55 players who won its $50,000 top prize. The latest player to win, a home loan specialist, told Lottery officials that she didn’t like the game at all – just before she fell in love with it.

“I bought three tickets and took them out to my car,” said the Western Maryland resident. “And, to be honest, I was a bit annoyed when I didn’t do as well with them as I’d hoped.”
She paused, however, before driving away from High’s #013 in Middletown. “I’m not sure why, but I decided to give the game one more try,” she said.

The happy winner still seemed in shock when she claimed her top prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. “I’ve always wanted to win a big prize like this, the same way everyone does, but I never expected I would,” she said. “Every time I played, though, I’d hope and hope that it would happen.” Just as it has for so many Maryland players, the $50,000 Cash scratch-off made that wish come true.” MD Lottery

There are 105 other top prizes remaining. In addition, 116 second-tier prizes worth $5,000 also remain unclaimed. The High’s store will receive a $500 bonus from Maryland Lottery for its role in the winner’s Lottery luck.
