$50,000 Winning Scratch-off Sold at Frederick Washingtonian Express

A 28-year-old Frederick resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning scratch-off at the Washingtonian Express located at 1395 West Patrick St in Frederick.

Here’s the story via Maryland Lottery:

“She enjoys playing the Maryland Lottery because she likes the idea of winning some money, and that’s just what happened when a Frederick woman bought a $5 Power Spot Multiplier scratch-off. She won its $50,000 top prize!

The loyal player has won before, but nothing like the prize she claimed May 15 at Maryland Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. Her previous prizes have ranged from $5 to $1,000. With her winnings, the 28-year-old plans to buy a new car to replace one that has become too small. After that, she plans to keep on playing!

Sharing in her good fortune is Washingtonian Express at 1395 West Patrick Street in Frederick, where she bought the hot instant ticket. The shop receives a bonus of $500, equal to 1% of the prize, from the Lottery for selling a top-prize winning scratch-off.”
