Read this heart warming story about Frederick Native Evans Foreman, shared by his daughter:
“Hi all! I just wanted to share a story that makes my heart happy. My father Evans Foreman, was born and raised in Frederick.
When he was 17, he went into McCutcheon’s every day until they hired him. Today, he has worked there for over 45 years. His hard work and tenacity is truly an inspiring Frederick story, and so I wanted to share it to all who live in this lovely town. McCutcheon’s is a family owned and operated business right next to Carroll Creek that makes the best preserves and apple cider that me and my siblings grew up on.
A few weeks ago, the business put up a painting of my father, hard at work, along with a few others representing McCutcheon’s over their 85 years of business. Thank you to the artist Micheal Rosato for doing such a wonderful job. My family always joked about when they would put his portrait on the back of McCutcheon’s, so it makes my family proud to see his hard work be recognized!
The people of Frederick who have lived and worked here for years deserve their spotlight. When you drive along South East st. give my father a nod and a cheer for me, he deserves it. (Pictured is my dad and his painting and the original photo)” – Bryleigh Foreman, Daughter of Evans Foreman
