Thousands of runners and spectators are expected to attend the annual Frederick Running Festival on May 6-May 7.

The festival features four races, which all finish at the Frederick Fairgrounds. Races include a half-marathon and two-person team relay on Sunday or the 5K and Kids Fun Run on Saturday.

The Frederick Police Department (FPD) have announced they will be providing road closure assistance for the half marathon and significant travel delays are expected. The FPD is encouraging residents to view the half-marathon route in order to plan their travel schedules accordingly. Further information will be provided closer to race day.
