Per Frederick County Sheriffs Office: At approximately 12:20 p.m., on Nov. 14, 2022, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies responded to the 800 block of East Main Street, Middletown, Maryland, for the report of a dead body.

Responding deputies found a decomposed body in the field behind the Safeway grocery store. Additionally, deputies found a 9mm handgun and a backpack.

FCSO detectives properly identified, through dental records, the body as Michael Kim Mancini, age 21, with a last known address in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where a roommate reported him missing earlier this year. Deputies made all appropriate next of kin notifications.
